Larger Aircraft Serving Flights to Dallas/ Fort Worth! 

CRJ900, More legroom, first class option, larger windows, enhanced interior

American Airlines announced that flights from Columbia Regional Airport (COU) to Dallas/ Fort-Worth International Airport (DFW) will be served with CRJ900 series aircrafts beginning Feb. 16. Flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport will continue to be served by CRJ700 series aircrafts.

The new aircraft seats 76 passengers including 12 first class seats. The aircraft features several upgrades such as spacious entry, more legroom, larger windows and upgraded LED lighting.

Service through American Airlines to and from DFW will now be provided by MESA Airlines.

Public Notice of PFC Application

The City of Columbia, Missouri (City) intends to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to impose and use Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) revenue for selected projects at the Columbia Regional Airport (Airport). Collections for these projects will occur between August 2016 and March 2020. The City seeks authority to impose and use PFC revenue of approximately $1.26 million.

A meeting to present the application and projects to all Air Carriers, as required by the FAA PFC application process, took place on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM (local time) at the at North Terminal Building at the Airport. Below is a link to the documentation provided to the air carriers at the consultation meeting and provides additional information on the projects for which PFC approval is sought.
