Beginning January 22, 2018, drivers licenses or state ID’s issued by states that are not in compliance with the REAL ID Act and have not been granted an extension by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may not be used to fly within the US.

Currently, Missouri Drivers Licenses and ID Cards are not compliant with the REAL ID Act. Missouri is working on a process for those who wish to obtain a REAL ID Act compliant drivers license or ID Card to do so. The State of Missouri has also filed for an extension so that non-compliant drivers licenses and ID cards can be used past the current January 22, 2018 deadline. The extension request is under review.

Until January 22, 2018, you can use your current Missouri Drivers License to board domestic flights within the US. We strongly encourage travelers who use a Missouri Drivers License or ID Card to monitor the status of the extension request. We will post updates as soon as we learn of them.
